Reaper crashes when other window gets focus

Hi,

my Reaper started crashing recently (probably after the Win10 update). Sadly, I can't find a way to reliably reproduce it, but this is what happens:

After working in it for a while (doing Midi editing at the moment) when I click on another application in my task bar, e.g. my email client, Reaper just freezes. The window displays the little (not responding) and all I can do is kill it.

Now, it doesn't happen every time when I switch to another application, but the longer I work in it, the more likely it gets.

Sadly, the error message in the event log console looks somewhat meaningless to me:
Code:

The program reaper.exe version 5.2.5.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

The other thing is logs is an "Information" Event briefly before the crash. I don't know if this is related:

The two mentioned files in the temp folder don't exist, the third one does exist but is a bit longer. I can post it here if anyone thinks it might help (essentially, it lists all the dlls that were loaded at the time)

What I also observed is that after killing Reaper, I can start it up again, but if I do this three or four times, the sound gets all distorted and glitchy and I have to restart my computer to get it back to normal.

The bottom line seems to be: I can work, but only if Reaper is the only program I'm using. If I switch to another, I always run the risk of a complete freeze up. Possibly keeps me away from distractions this way ;)

Thanks in advance!
