Item Grouping Question

I have grouped two items but when I apply a fade in or out to one item, it doesn't happen on the other item in the group.

Am I doing something wrong or is this not supported?

I would like to be able to trim the ends one item and have the other item mirror it without having to manually select both. The same goes for fades...if I apply a fade in to one item, can the other item receive the same fade without doing each one separately?
