Just helped someone on Gearslutz, asking how to use sidechain in Reaxcomp.
Cause i didn't really find a clear answer here, i thought i would point out the steps to be taken here:
- Open ReaXComp.
- Drag the IO routing icon from the Track that is gonna be the "trigger" onto the graphic user interface of ReaXComp.
- Make sure the horizontal fader in the appeared IO window is set to 0.0 db.
- In ReaXComp:Click on a band (red ball) which you wanna be sidechained.
- In ReaXComp:Click on the "Param" button, on the upper right of ReaXcomp GUI.
- Click on "Parameter modulation/midi link"
- In Parameter modulation window: Click on Audio control signal (sidechain)
- In Parameter modulation window:Choose "3+4" for the "Track audio channel" option.
- In Parameter modulation window:Adjust other parameters to taste.
If you want, do the same steps for other band(s) which you wanna have side chained.
Hope this helps !
