Auto Scroll not working ?

Dear Reapers,

OSX 10.11.6
Reaper 5.24 - 64bit.
Concerned Action: View: toggle auto-view scroll during playback.

Situation:
Auto-view scroll is off.
I go in play.
Play cursor vanishes from screen at a certain moment.
Now I toggle auto-view scroll during playback to ON state.

Outcome:
The view doesn't scroll to current play cursor position.

I assume this is a bug ..

EDIT: I just noticed that i first must stop in Reaper, after setting toggle auto-view scroll during playback to ON state,
then go in play again and then view will scroll to current play cursor position.
Mmmm, not really logical to me.
