Q: Stopping a deferred script?

If I Run a script with a defer() call in it, it runs persistently.

I can close any GUI window but cannot find a way to stop the script running (or to re-open the GUI window). If I run the script again I get the warning window about the script running in the background etc.

How do I do those those things?
