for whatever reason I cannot figure out a way to not make my midi items follow time signature marker tempo changes.
I have a project where I programmed drum midi to a tempo map that I created from a real drum performance. I noticed that for a couple of bars the midi is in the correct tempo but the time signature marker is in the wrong tempo (120 instead of 160 at 4/4).
Now I would like to correct the time signature marker and change the tempo so that later the click will be correct.
However, when I do that the midi item changes it`s length/tempo. I would like the midi to not change at all.
I tried all timebase options. Setting "ignore project tempo, use..." doesn`t work because I have multiple tempo and rhythm changes throughout the song that this option will override.
This sounds so trivial but I`m unable to figure out the solution.
