i'm getting a korg ms 20 soon and i'm thinking about how i can pair this with an amp to record with. i know i can run the synth straight to the audio interface but really i want to run it through an amp first. i'm trying to do all the processing going into reaper and really only want to use reaper as a recording device. other than putting a mic on the amp what are my other options? i really like the idea of using small combo amps but i wouldn't be able to run those straight into the audio interface right? would i need to put an attenuator between the amp and the interface? does that bypass the speaker? If i wanted to use just a guitar or bass head and run that into a cabinet simulator pedal what exactly would i need to do that? I was looking at line 6 pocket pod because it seems like a really easy solution: amp and cabinets all in this little pedal, but is it going to make the synth sound fake? would love to get some thoughts on this if anyone is doing something similar.
