it would be an easy way to "humanize" robotic midis ,
i.e. speed it up or slow it down towards a point in the song,
without sound dergredation(midi) it would be limitless.
a much better way to bring a midi-recording in line with the song than using quantization.(everything which applys to audio recordings and stretchmarkers in the context of a song applys here too)
technically:
i think if you treat just the out and in points of midinotes and cc events , like you otherwise would treat a sample of audio and "move" them to the correct place according to the stretchmarkers algorythm, would work pretty great.
