Good day
I'm busy writing a little suite of jsfx to make my life easier, and one thing which I want to do is write a plugin that records midi data. That is that, once armed, the plugin would record any midi message of <type> on <channel>, and once 'disarmed', continually play back what was recorded.
I would *like* to use this to control arbitrary synth parameters - however, I'm unsure how this would fit into Reapers routing paradigm. I haven't played much with Reaper beyond writing jsfx, but it seems like there is a difference between midi in a channel, and midi used to control synth parameters.
Is it possible to route a jsfx plugins midi out in such a way that it would control a synth parameter:
1) On a synth in the same track as the plugin?
2) To any random synth on an track?
Thanks
