Forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place- I am new to the forum (and Reaper).
I' hoping someone else has run into a similar issue- Been having a complete headache with my audio interface -a Zoom H4N. Sometimes it co-operates - but very glitchy, stopping and starting all the time. Generally it won't co-operate at all- not just with reaper but with any audio programme at all. It will neither play or record. I have the correct driver although I have tried asio4all as well which didn't work either (with different problems).
The Zoom works on my laptop running reaper on windows 10 with no problems at all so I am guessing there is some incompatibility with my system somewhere?
I've tried all different usb ports. I've disabled the wifi, anti-virus, all other audio hardware, CD drive, and anything else I can think of.
I have Windows 10 pro 64-bit
AMD FX 6300
8GB of RAM
I'm optimised for best performance in the settings
I would really appreciate any clues or anything I can try- It's driving me crazy now and since the Zoom works fine of the laptop I don't even think getting a new interface will solve it.
