I've got a pretty complex project goin' here...
However, it's all basically just a live midi controller set up to drive VST sounds and FX.
But the project is still clocking in at 5GB!!!
What in the world is taking up that much disk space when there's nothing actually **IN** the project that is actually taking up memory...
The only thing I can think of is that perhaps reaper "stores" a copy of the VST's in the project file? But that doesn't make much sense either...
- 97 Tracks
- A few hundred plug-ins or instances of plugins scattered across the tracks
However, it's all basically just a live midi controller set up to drive VST sounds and FX.
- There are ZERO samples
- There are zero items on any tracks (no midi items, no audio items, etc.)
But the project is still clocking in at 5GB!!!

Why is my Reaper project file so freakin' large?!
