It would be great it this could be the first thread I've posted that got an answer!
Ive tried searching this several ways and found nothing, so if I'm duplicating this question, please direct me to the right thread.
I'm recording audiobooks using the direct monitoring through an M-Audio MobilePre using REAPER 4.75 on Leapard. I'm using a Rodes nt1-a, which is a mono mike. My Master track is set to mono, as is the armed track. None of this should matter, as I'm using the direct monitoring through the input device. (Please don't mock my humble setup. I've been 90% bedridden for 5 years with not income, and this is all I could put together for now. New MacBook Air OTW.)
What is happening is that the direct monitoring will only come through the left side of the headphones. If I turn on monitoring in REAPER, I get both audio in both speakers, but it is a mix of the direct monitoring and the REAPER output, which has a slight latency, causing what sounds like a delay effect throught both output channels.
I know I'm probably just missing a ridiculously simple thing here, but it is very physically painful for me to be at the computer, so I tend to often miss the obvious. Thanks for any help!
It seems like this is more likely an issue with the M-Audio device than REAPER, but since there is so much knowledge here, and the MobilePre is ancient and no longer supported, I thought I'd check here.
